Car Bomb in Mogadishu wounds Businessman
A Somali businessman was critically wounded after a bomb concealed under his car seat exploded in Mogadishu on Monday morning, Eyewitnesses said.
The witnesses said the blast has sent a tick black smoke into the sky and damaged nearby business buildings along Makka Al Mukarama, a busy road linking the airport to Villa Somalia.
“The car bomb has injured Hussein Jami’i, a well-known businessman. The motive behind the attempted assassination is yet unclear,” a witness said.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the car bomb attack, but it becomes the latest in series of the bombings in the capital, Mogadishu.
